At SMD, a company dedicated to distributing mattresses and home textiles, we developed the fire protection system for its logistics center located in the Moreno Industrial Park.

The nature of the stored products and the large volume of goods concentrated in the warehouse create a high fire load, making the prevention and control of a potential fire a critical aspect of the operation.

The challenge required designing a solution capable of responding effectively to a scenario where fire could spread quickly and reach great intensity.

In logistics facilities of this kind, protection must cover not only the building and the stored goods, but also people's safety and the continuity of the operation.

In addition, its location inside an industrial park adds another factor: a major fire could endanger neighboring companies and facilities, considerably widening the potential impact.

The project was developed with these risks in mind, sizing the fire protection infrastructure to the demands of a high fire-load logistics operation.

The result is a solution aimed at protecting people, assets, goods and operational continuity, while reducing the risk of spread to neighboring facilities.

A project where correct risk assessment and properly sized fire engineering are fundamental.
